1. Acceptance and minimum age
You must be at least 14 to create a Lorerium Cloud account, agree to the Terms shown in the app, and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Creating an account or continuing to use online features means you accept the then-current Terms.
If you lack authority to accept these Terms or do not agree, do not create a Lorerium Cloud account or use online features. Availability of local app functions may vary with the distribution method and technical state.
2. Service scope and free availability
Lorerium provides a local-first AI roleplay desktop app, a static product website, account and nickname functions, and future cloud features related to public game packs. Current functions are free, and these Terms do not include payment or refund conditions.
Free availability does not promise that every function will remain available forever. Before introducing paid features, we will clearly disclose pricing, billing, cancellation, and refund terms and obtain any required agreement.
3. Accounts and nicknames
A Lorerium account is created through Google sign-in. You are responsible for protecting access to your account and should promptly email support if you suspect unauthorized use or a security problem.
A nickname is a globally unique display name that distinguishes you from other users. Do not impersonate another person or Lorerium representative or use a nickname for infringement, hate, threats, or unlawful conduct. We may request or require a change to protect security and rights.
4. Local content and your responsibilities
Rights in stories, lore, images, and wiki content you create remain with you or the proper rights holder. Lorerium does not take ownership of local content and cannot access it merely through your cloud account.
You are responsible for having the necessary rights to content you store, enter, or share; backing up local files; and securing your device and operating system. Review how account deletion, app removal, device failure, or your own actions can affect local data.
5. AI features and output
Lorerium's ChatGPT/Codex integration uses your separate ChatGPT account. OpenAI's terms and privacy policy apply separately, and Google sign-in for Lorerium does not replace ChatGPT credentials.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Independently review output and seek qualified advice before relying on it for important factual, legal, medical, financial, or rights-affecting decisions.
6. Third-party services
Google sign-in, OpenAI's ChatGPT/Codex services, and Cloudflare hosting, storage, security, and download delivery are provided by third parties. Each provider manages its own availability, account status, and policies.
An outage or policy change at a provider may limit some functions. We will take reasonable steps to reduce impact and explain material changes, but we do not control third-party services or content.
7. Prohibited use
To protect the service and other people, you must not:
- Break the law or infringe another person's privacy, copyright, trademark, or other rights
- Distribute malware, exploit vulnerabilities, bypass authentication, disrupt the service, or send excessive automated requests
- Impersonate another person or a Lorerium representative, or transfer or take over an account without authorization
- Use the service to promote violence, exploitation, fraud, or unlawful trade
- Evade security, age, or access limits, or collect cloud data through methods Lorerium does not provide
8. Lorerium rights and open source
The Lorerium app, website, brand, UI, and operator-authored materials are owned by the Lorerium operator or their respective rights holders. These Terms grant only a limited right to use the service personally and do not transfer rights in trademarks or source code.
Open-source components included in the app remain subject to their own licenses. If such a license grants broader rights than these Terms, that license controls for the relevant component.
9. Changes, interruption, and notice
We may change or discontinue the service to improve it or respond to security, law, technology, or cost changes. If a change is likely to materially disadvantage users, we will give reasonable advance notice in the app or website.
For an urgent security issue, infrastructure outage, or legal demand where advance notice is impractical, we may act first and explain the change as soon as reasonably possible.
10. Ending use and deleting an account
You may delete your cloud account at any time in Lorerium account settings or request deletion by email. Deletion ends the cloud account and server sessions but leaves local stories and your separate ChatGPT/Codex account unchanged.
We may restrict online functions or close an account for a material breach, security risk, or legal obligation. Where possible, we will explain the reason and how to raise an objection.
11. Warranties and limits of liability
The service is provided in its current technical state. We cannot promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. Keep separate backups of important local data and review AI output.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for intentional or grossly negligent conduct, personal injury, privacy obligations, or mandatory consumer protection. Otherwise, liability is limited as permitted by law to direct loss that was reasonably foreseeable.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If a dispute arises, please first contact support so we can try to resolve it in good faith.
A dispute not resolved by discussion will be handled by the court with jurisdiction under Korea's Civil Procedure Act and other applicable law. This section does not limit mandatory consumer protection or jurisdiction rights that apply to you.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as law, functions, or operations change. We will announce material changes in the app or website before they take effect and request renewed agreement where required. If you disagree, you may delete your account before the change takes effect.
